To celebrate my birthday I went on a dream trip to Paris. I scoffed macaroons by the dozen, shopped for saucy French lingerie and watched cabaret shows full of sparkly nipples. Here is the photographic evidence of my decadence.
En route on the Eurostar
We stayed at the Platine Hotel – the whole place is themed around Marilyn Monroe!
Marilyn films even play in the lifts
We were in the Chanel No. 5 suite
Breakfast was served in a 1950s diner. I spotted my chair right away.
Until I spotted my banquette. Here I am enjoying an intimate moment with my coffee
I discovered the sexy undie shop of my dreams, Fifi Chachnil.
I also discovered macaroon cocktails at the Champs Elysees Laduree bar.
We had a big night out at the Lido (but first, an impromptu photoshoot with Marilyn)

The show was so spectacular it was like an old MGM musical. Bursting with over the top theatrical glamour. At one point, a fountain decorated with dancers emerged from the floor while two ballerinas pranced about and, just when you thought it couldn’t get more wonderfully camp, they released the live swans.
I spent my actual birthday practicing my one-legged balloon modelling.
There was, inevitably, more shopping.
And a champagne-fuelled evening of risqué cabaret at the infamous Crazy Horse (after another photoshoot with Marilyn).
In Paris, it’s very stylish to get your lipstick all over your glass.
If you haven’t heard of Crazy Horse, it’s a Parisian cabaret so fabulous that Dita’s performed there and Beyonce’s made it the star of her music video.
Beyonce, Dita, Paris – je t’aime!
