Struggling to find the motivation to get out of bed on a dark winter morning? Me too, my darling.
I recommend luring yourself away from the comfort of your covers with a fabulous new vintage style coat you can’t wait to wrap up in. My latest outerwear fix comes in the shape of the Shonna swing coat by Hell Bunny. With its faux fur double whammy of collar AND cuffs, this 1950s-inspired beauty radiates old Hollywood style.
Sizing and Fit For This Fabulous Vintage Style Coat
I love the shape of this coat. The deep V-neckline means I don’t have to worry about buttons gaping or pinging off and destroying my carefully constructed, but highly flimsy, illusion of sophistication. You can choose your size by your waist measurement, without having to worry about your boobs being unfabulously squished. I’m wearing a size UK 10 / Hell Bunny Small, even though I’m a High Street Massive. Hell Bunny stock sizes UK 8-24. I think the Shonna is an amazing choice for curvier pin ups, with its easy fit and flattering nipped-in waist.
If you’ve already got a black coat and fancy something a little different, the Shonna also comes in eye-catching crimson to make you look like a femme fatale Red Riding Hood.
And I love this striking and unusual teal colourway.
My shopping addiction means I’m tempted to indulge myself and get the complete set. But for the moment I’m happy with my Shonna in black. Every other day I seem to be pulling it on over my wiggle dress. As snuggly as it is stylish, it’s quickly become my go-to coat. An instant wardrobe staple, but with added retro glamour.
